GFBA Architects became involved with the Best Buy Corporation through a relationship with The Krausz Companies, a development company that specialized in build-to-suit projects for national companies. In the Montclair project, GFBA became the coordination factor between the owner, the tenant , and the City of Montclair. In addition, the Montclair Best Buy store became the new prototype for the Minneapolis-based electronics superstore. The Best Buy store embodies all of the latest thinking in warehouse merchandising, pedestrian flow, and lighting.
