The Arirang Senior Housing Tower on Whitley Avenue just north of Hollywood Boulevard provides eighty apartment units surrounding a large brick-paved landscaped central courtyard.

Commissioned by the Korean Senior Citizens Association of Los Angeles, this HUD sponsored project received Los Angeles Redevelopment Agency assistance to provide amenities not usually associated with government assisted housing.  The apartment building is part of a redevelopment project, which includes the adjacent Hollywood/Cherokee Parking Structure, also by GFBA Architects.  Parking for the Arirang Senior Housing is provided in a secured area of the complex.  Special features include a sixth floor recreational pavilion, and generous gardening areas for use by the tenants.
